Who We Are

A Different Kind of
Marketing Company

Most marketing agencies serve dozens of industries and master none. We built Insurance Advertising Masters because the insurance industry deserved better. Our team has spent seven years inside this market, and we operate our own agency alongside every client we serve.

Practitioner-Led

We don't teach theory. We run a live insurance agency and build every system we offer from what works in our own business.

Insurance-Only Focus

We exclusively serve the insurance industry. Every strategy, funnel, and creative is built for how insurance prospects actually buy.

Full-Service Execution

From ad creative production to media buying to sales coaching. We don't hand you a playbook and wish you luck. We run it with you.

Our Story

We started in 2019 consulting insurance agents on their marketing. Same problem every time: smart agents, great with clients, but no predictable way to grow.

So we launched our own agency. Not to teach what might work, but to prove what does. Every system we build for clients runs in our agency first.

Today we serve over 100 insurance agents and agencies across the country, manage their campaigns daily, and produce fresh ad creative every week from our in-house team.

Practitioner-Led Marketing

Why Practitioner-Led Marketing Outperforms Agency Marketing

Most marketing agencies selling to insurance agents have never sold a Medicare supplement policy in their lives. They optimize for clicks, impressions, and vague awareness metrics — not cost per issued policy. Insurance Advertising Masters operates differently: the founders run a live insurance agency using the exact same funnels, ad accounts, and sales scripts they build for clients. This means every strategy is tested in market before it reaches you. When Facebook changes its algorithm or CMS updates its compliance rules, IAM knows about it immediately — because it affects their own revenue too. Practitioner-led marketing produces better results because the incentives are aligned. The consultancy wins when the agent wins. That accountability loop is impossible to replicate in a traditional agency model that has never sat across from a Medicare beneficiary and closed a supplement sale.

Lead Generation Economics

The Economics of Insurance Lead Generation

Understanding your unit economics is the difference between a sustainable insurance business and one that bleeds cash on leads. In Medicare supplement marketing, a well-optimized Facebook campaign in 2024 should generate inbound leads at $18–$35 per lead depending on state competition and target age band. Converting those leads to appointments typically runs 20–35% for agents with strong follow-up sequences, meaning your true cost per appointment sits around $60–$120. At an average Medicare supplement commission of $400–$600 annually per issued policy and a 30–40% appointment-to-close rate, a well-run agent is paying $200–$350 per issued policy — a return of 2x–3x in year-one commission alone, before renewals. Most agents who say 'leads don't work' are missing the follow-up infrastructure, not the ad strategy. Speed-to-lead response under 5 minutes dramatically increases contact rate and conversion — the economics only work when your entire system is dialed in from click to close.

Why Agents Fail at Marketing

Why Insurance Agents Fail at Marketing (The Real Reasons)

The most common reason insurance agents fail at marketing is not a bad offer or a bad product — it's premature scaling of an unproven system. Agents see a competitor running Facebook ads and immediately dump $2,000 per month into campaigns before establishing any conversion baseline. Without knowing their lead-to-appointment rate, appointment-to-close rate, or average premium, they have no way to determine if their cost per lead is viable. The second most common failure is channel-hopping: switching from Facebook to Google to TikTok every 90 days rather than mastering one channel. The agents who consistently win pick one paid channel, run it for 12 months, and grind out the variables until the economics work. Third is neglecting follow-up — most insurance leads require 5–8 contact attempts before reaching the prospect. Agents who call once and abandon a lead are paying full price for a fraction of the available value. Marketing success in insurance is 20% strategy and 80% operational discipline.

Speed-to-Lead Advantage

The Speed-to-Lead Advantage in Insurance Sales

In insurance marketing, speed-to-lead is arguably the single most important operational variable you can optimize. Research consistently shows that leads contacted within 5 minutes of submitting a form are 9x more likely to convert than leads contacted after 30 minutes. In Medicare supplement sales, where a prospect may be comparing quotes from multiple agents simultaneously, the first agent to reach them has a decisive advantage — not because they have a better product, but because they built the relationship first. Insurance Advertising Masters structures all of its client systems around sub-5-minute lead response: automated SMS notifications to the agent the moment a lead submits, pre-written first-call scripts, and CRM automations that tag and prioritize new leads above everything else in the pipeline. Agents who build this infrastructure consistently outperform higher-budget competitors who lack the operational discipline to follow up immediately. In insurance, the fastest closer wins — not the most sophisticated advertiser.
